Who we are
We are the African Anglophone General Delegation of the Company of Mary also known as Montfort Missionaries. The Company of Mary is an international Religious Congregation in the Roman Catholic Church, dedicated to the establishment of the kingdom of God under the patronage of Mary, the Mother of Jesus. It was founded at the beginning of the 18th Century by Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort. Today it numbers just under 1,000 priests and Brothers, who carry out their mission in around 30 different countries.
After its official foundation in 2001 as African Delegation of the General Council, in 2007 the African Anglophone Delegation was established for English speaking countries in Africa namely; Malawi, Uganda and Kenya. Currently, we are also present in Zambia.
